A Baby Monitor Companion App for Peace of Mind

Led the end-to-end UX/UI design for a smart, wearable baby monitor app. Through cross-functional team collaboration, I transformed complex health metrics, sleep data, and daily tracking into a calm, intuitive interface, helping put parents' and caregivers’ minds at ease.

Context & Problem

The Reality: 61% of new parents report total exhaustion, and 32% experience high anxiety (Owlet State of Parenting Report). Sleep-related infant deaths (like SIDS) keep parents in a constant state of hyper-vigilance (CDC).

The Conflict: Parents turn to tech for peace of mind, but poorly designed health data can actually increase their panic and overwhelm.

The Challenge: How do we give exhausted, anxious parents all the tracking details they want (breathing, sleep, dirty diaper, temperature) without triggering information overload the second they open the app?

My Goal

To design an interface for Aurio that delivers complex health data transparently and calmly, ensuring the technology acts as an anxiety-reducer, not an anxiety-generator.
